Anyone with a surfboard can Hang 10 in Hawaii, but only golfers can Hang 18, and there are over 100 golf courses in Hawaii where you can practice that art. There is no consensus about which courses are really the best; there is a feeling that each has something special to offer.
One consistently favored course is the Princeville Golf Club on Kauai. The Prince Course is a scenic 27-hole course that has been rated #1 in Hawaii by Golf Digest and #39 in their list of Top 100 Courses in 2007.
The Kapalua Golf Resort on Maui is a popular location, home of the Mercedes-Benz Championship and the Kapalua LPGA Classic. There are two courses there, The Bay, a gentle rolling course and The Plantation, the more rigorous championship course.
The Hualalai Golf Club on the Big Island has two courses, the Hualalai which was Arnold Palmer’s first design in Hawaii, and the Keolu Course which borders the island’s lava fields.
